How do I add my own photo to my milestones or moments?

Adding your own photos to milestones or moments in Mi & Ju is simple and allows you to personalize your memories. Here's how to do it:

iOS:
When creating a moment or milestone, look for the "Select Picture" option. Click on it.
You will be taken to a screen where you can choose the source of your photo. By default, you will land on the "Camera Roll" option.
On iOS 14 or later, you will see options like "Select Photos," "Allow Access to All Photos," and "Don't Allow."
We recommend clicking on "Allow Access to All Photos" for the best experience, as it allows you to access all your photos from the camera roll.
After the permission is granted, you can upload any photo from your camera roll.
Select the desired photo from your camera roll. You may have the option to crop the photo or adjust the focus, depending on your preference.
Voila! Your milestone or moment now features your own photo as a background, adding a personal touch to your memories.

Android:
When creating a moment or milestone, look for the "Select Picture" option. Click on it.
You will be taken to a screen where you can pick the source of your photo. By default, you will land on the "Camera Roll" option.
You will see the dialog, "Allow Mi & Ju to access photos, media, and files on your device." Click on "Allow" to grant the necessary permissions.

With beautiful custom themes available, you can give your milestones a personalized touch. Additionally, Mi & Ju will provide notifications to remind you of important anniversary dates, allowing you to celebrate and cherish those special milestones together.

Moments: Moments in Mi & Ju offer a more granular and diary-like experience. They are smaller, individual entries that make up your relationship timeline. When creating a moment, you have the opportunity to capture the smaller, everyday events that make your relationship unique. You can add a title, description, and choose to include an image or a voice memo, allowing you to express your feelings and memories in detail. Moments enable you to create a comprehensive and intimate record of your journey together, adding depth and richness to your shared experiences.

How can I share my milestones or moments?

Milestones:
On the milestones screen, locate the sharing button at the bottom. Click on it.
You will be presented with a variety of sharing card themes to choose from. Select the theme that resonates with your milestone.
Next, click on the sharing options available. This will open a sharing sheet where you can select the social app or platform you prefer to use for sharing.
Choose your desired sharing app, such as Instagram, and customize your message or add any additional elements you wish to include.
Share the screenshot of your milestone, ensuring that you use the hashtag #miandju to connect with the Mi & Ju community and spread the love.

Moments:
Find the moment you would like to share and click on it to enter the moment's full view.
Look for the sharing button located at the top right corner of the screen. Click on it.
A moment summary will be displayed, providing a snapshot of the moment's details.
Choose the social app or platform you prefer for sharing, such as Instagram.
Customize your message or add any desired elements to personalize your share.

How can I invite my partner or friends?

To invite your partner or friends to join you on Mi & Ju, follow these instructions:

Click on the side menu.
Choose the "Partner Invite" option or choose the desired relationship by clicking on the relationship avatar at the bottom of the side menu, and then on the “Edit” (pencil) icon.
In the "Edit Relationship" page, you will find the "Invite Partner" button. Click on it.
You will be presented with an invitation code. You can share this code via any third-party app or copy it to your clipboard. The invitation code is valid for 1 hour.

How can I redeem the invitation code?

If you have received an invitation code to join Mi & Ju, follow these steps to redeem it:

On the first screen of the onboarding process, look for the "Redeem" option and click on it.
Enter the invitation code in the provided field and proceed with the onscreen instructions to complete the redemption process. Once redeemed, you will be connected to the inviter's account.

Please note that the invitation code is a one-time use code and should be redeemed within the specified timeframe (1 hour).

How can I disable access to the app for my partner?

If you wish to revoke access to the app for your partner, you can follow these steps to disable their access:

Open the side menu within the app
Locate and select "Partner Invite" or click on the "Edit" (pencil) icon.
This will take you to the "Edit Relationship" screen where you can manage your relationship settings.
Look for the section labelled "Sharing Options" and click on "Manage partner’s access."
On your partner's device, locate the three-dot menu icon and tap on it.
Select "Remove Partner" to revoke their access.
Confirm your decision, and your partner's access to the app will be disabled.

By following these steps, you can effectively disable your partner's access to the app.

Adventures: You can unlock and explore various date ideas through the Adventures feature, but the ability to save them for future reference is limited to FOREVER subscribers.
Partner Invite: If your partner has a FOREVER subscription, they can invite you to share the journey together. However, as a free plan user, you won't have the ability to initiate partner invitations.
Widgets: The availability of widgets, which provide quick access to relationship information on your device's home screen, is exclusive to FOREVER subscribers.

If you wish to cancel your subscription,  you can follow these steps. Please note that the cancellation process varies depending on your device's operating system.

iOS:
Go to Settings app on your device > [your name] > iTunes & App Store.
Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen, then tap View Apple ID. 
Scroll to Subscriptions, then tap it.
Tap the subscription that you want to manage. 
Use the options to manage your subscription.

Ensure that you are signed in to the Google account used for the Mi & Ju subscription.

How can I add widgets?

With widgets, you can have easy access to your relationship status from your home screen. The first milestone (from the milestone order screen) will be displayed in your widget. Thus, the widget shows e.g. how long you have been together, how long you have been married, etc.

I have a new phone. How do I restore my purchase?

If you have recently switched to a new phone, you can easily restore your purchase within Mi & Ju to regain access to your subscription or previously purchased features.

Follow these steps:

On your new phone, open the Mi & Ju  app and navigate to the settings section (via side menu).
Look for the Mi & Ju FOREVER banner within the settings menu and tap on it.
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen, and you will find an option labelled "Restore Purchase." Tap on it.
The  app will then verify your previous purchase information and restore your subscription or purchased features on your new device.
Please note that this process applies when you are switching devices within the same operating system (e.g., Android to Android or iOS to iOS).

If you are changing your operating system, such as switching from Android to iOS or vice versa, the restoration process may vary. 
In such cases, we recommend reaching out to our support team via support@miandju.app. Our dedicated team will guide you through the necessary steps to reinstate your purchase on your new operating system.
